Fun in the sun!

We had our first big party the other night to celebrate our grand opening, Halloween, and to raise a little money for Save-a-Bull rescue.  Save-a-Bull is a great organization which places pit bulls with loving and responsible people.  The party was a success and we all had a great time.

Since we have 2 big back yards, the far back was opened up to be an off leash area.  The indoors and and “front” back yard were on leash and offed delicious foods from Gastrotruck, Ruff Loves custom baked dog treat specialties, photography from Sara Beth photography, the always ready to party sidewalkdog.com girls and trainer Heather Hime from Lucky Paws.

If you are interested in having a dog friendly event or party at Ruff Love Dogs, please give us a call or email us.  rufflovedogs@gmail.com / 612-331-4248.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page and web site for upcoming events and fun!

Most of the materials that were used in our build out were re-purposed from other projects or dump sites.  This ramp was built out of black top that was pulled up from the front of the building to create a garden, dirt that came from a nearby parking lot, and stone which was salvaged from old building demolitions.  The resulting structure has the feeling of an old Minneapolis park rediscovered. The dogs love it..

Thanks to our friends @oneonone bikes for giving us this great painting to hang in our lobby. Things are coming together very niclely here at Ruff Love Dogs. We are excited to offer a community experience and local art is a vital part that experience. This great piece is by Grider Fitzsimmons. You may have seen some of his other mural paintings around town. The latest being right off the light rail in the Cedar Riverside area. Keep a look out for him. - Ruff

We at Ruff Love are moving right along with our build out!  Keep a look out for our new sign at 1528 Marshall street.  So far we are on track for an opening in September.
We joined the neighborhood for the North East Pet parade recently, which was a blast.  Events like this are exactly what we are about.  Having fun, meeting new friends and enjoying the day with our 4 legged friends.  If you have any ideas for events you would like to see happen at our facility please drop us  a line or shoot us an email.
